Wallboard, work area & inspect

Beside the five jobs, Floor Mode has three screens of its own: the wallboard for a screen on the wall, Work area for choosing whose work you see, and Inspect for goods that arrive into inspection.

  • The wallboard
  • Work area
  • Inspect
  • See also

The wallboard shows today’s work in numbers readable from across the floor. Open it from ⋯ → Wallboard in Floor Mode, or set up a Wall screen under Settings → Team → Floor devices → Add device: a wall screen shows the wallboard with nobody signed in.

  • Today’s output: Shipped today, Shipped yesterday, Due today and Late. A late figure is amber and says so in its label, never by colour alone.
  • Average pack time: today’s average as a clock, the parcels packed today under it, and how many took over 30 minutes and are left out of the average. Team figures only: no person, no station and no ranking reaches the wall.
  • Open work, one tile per job: receive, pick, pack, ship, count and returns. Under Pick, the work orders whose materials are being picked are named (“Materials for …”).
  • Team targets Elevate plan : Team picking and Team packing, done against today’s target (“120 / 300 orders picked today”) and when the team gets there at this pace. The targets are set under Team → Plan, and their day is the warehouse’s.
  • Ready by profile: how many orders each pick profile has ready.

The board updates by itself and says when it last did. Its output and open work count the day by the clock of the screen it runs on, so set a wall screen to the warehouse’s time zone. The built-in Floor role cannot open it; tick Open the wallboard on your own copy of Floor to offer it under ⋯ on Today. A role that can see fulfillment work opens it too.

Today starts with where you work: a zone, a station, or All work. The row at the top says which (“Zone A”, “Station PACK-01”); Change opens Work area, and so does ⋯ → Zone and station.

  1. Tap All work, a zone or a station. When yours span several warehouses, each tile names its warehouse.
  2. Tap Show this work. Today and its lists then show that zone’s or station’s work only.

The choice is remembered for you, on every device you sign in on. The row appears once the warehouse has zones or stations: a manager sets them up under the warehouse’s Zones, stations & staff. Until then everyone sees all work.

With the warehouse’s receiving policy Dock with inspection (Settings → Warehouses, the warehouse’s Receiving card), received goods are booked into the inspection bin QC-IN-01, and Today lists Inspect … units for each receipt with units waiting, oldest first.

The receipt’s screen lists what is Waiting for inspection. Scan an item, or tap Inspect this; for an item that came in several lots, choose the lot under Which lot is it?. Then:

  • All pass: every waiting unit of that item passed. Passed units go to the dock, DOCK-01, with a put-away task to bring them to a shelf.
  • Some failed: say How many failed? and Why did they fail?. The line above the bar says where they go before you confirm, for example “2 go to HOSP-01 · Pass 3, reject 2”. Then Reject … books them.

Other asks What is wrong? in up to 500 characters. Your own fail reasons, such as “Torn seal”, are added on the warehouse’s Receiving card, and so is Photo of failed goods: the inspector then takes a photo before rejecting units, and photos are kept for 90 days.

When every unit is judged, the screen says Nothing waits for inspection, and Inspect next opens the next item or Next task returns to Today. Neither passed nor failed units are offered for sale until they reach a sellable shelf.
