Orders

Orders (/orders) is one list, not five. Instead of a separate screen per order state, there is a single list with view tabs on top — the built-in ones plus any you save yourself.

Shopify remains the source of truth for the order itself. Floormode adds what a warehouse needs on top: whether stock is reserved, what is holding the order up, and which warehouse is shipping which part of it.

  • FulfillmentFulfillmentThe part of an order that one warehouse ships together. An order split across two sites has two fulfillments; each carries its own lines, shipments and state. Read more → — the part of an order that one warehouse ships together. An order can have several.
  • CommittedCommittedUnits already promised to open orders and therefore no longer freely sellable, even though they are still on the shelf. Read more → — units promised to open orders and no longer freely sellable.
  • HoldHoldA deliberate block on an order, recorded with a reason, a note and usually a reference to the document being waited on. A hold is a decision, not a failure. Read more → — a deliberate block on an order, with a reason and usually a document reference.
  • BackorderBackorderAn order waiting on stock that could not be reserved. When stock arrives, it is reserved for the orders waiting on it, which are then picked and packed as usual. Read more → — an order waiting for stock that could not be reserved.
  • Saved viewSaved viewA list's filters, sort and columns kept under a name: only you see it, unless you tick **Share with everyone in this shop** when you save it. Read more → — a filter set kept as a tab, shared with the whole shop.
