Views & saved views

The order list opens on All open and carries four more built-in views. Anything else you filter for can become a view of your own. Every list in Floormode works the same way, so what this page says about Orders holds for the others too.

  • The five built-in views
  • Switching views
  • Saving your own view
  • Links, Back and the way back
  • Pages and ticked rows

ViewShows
All openEvery order still needing work. The default.
Ready to shipStock reserved, nothing holding it — pick these now.
BlockedSomeone put a holdHoldA deliberate block on an order, recorded with a reason, a note and usually a reference to the document being waited on. A hold is a decision, not a failure. Read more → on it.
BackorderedWaiting for stock that could not be reserved.
Pickup & deliveryOrders the customer collects or you deliver yourself.

The distinction between Blocked and Backordered is worth internalising: blocked is a decision (a person held the order), backordered is a condition (there was not enough stock to reserve). They need different fixes, so they get different views.

The Delivery filter beside Filters narrows any view to shipping, pickup or local delivery orders.

The View button at the start of the toolbar names the view you are on. Click it to open the view switcher:

  • Presets are the built-in views; Saved views follow, each marked Shared or Only you.
  • A check mark sits on the view you are on, a star on the view the list opens with for you.
  • Type to search by name. The arrow keys move, Enter opens the view, Esc closes the switcher.

Beside the views sit the actions for the view you are on, each where it applies: Save view, Save as new view…, Edit view…, Set as my default (or Clear my default) and Reset.

Filter the list however you like, then open the view switcher and choose Save as new view…. Give it a name. Tick Share with everyone in this shop to make it a shop view; otherwise only you see it.

Typical saved views merchants build:

  • Same-day cutoff — paid before 14:00, ready to ship, not yet picked.
  • Waiting on production — blocked, reason “Waiting for production”.
  • One warehouse only — for a site that wants its own queue.

In the switcher a saved view says who sees it. While a saved view is open, the same answer sits under the page title. A shared view belongs to everyone: anyone in the shop can edit or delete it, and saving over it asks first.

Changed a saved view? Save view (or ⌘S, Ctrl S on Windows) stores what the list shows now under the same name. Edit view… renames it, changes who sees it or deletes it.

The page address carries the view, the filters, the sort and the page. Copy the link and a colleague lands on the same list.

  • The browser’s Back button returns to the list exactly as you left it.
  • Where a row opens a panel on the same page (a shipment, a stock item, a bin), Back closes the panel.
  • Where a row opens its own page (an order, a batch, a pack job, a count, a receipt, a transfer, a return), that page’s breadcrumb returns to the same view, filters, sort and page.

The footer shows the page and has Previous page and Next page. Changing the view, a filter or the sort returns you to page one. Rows per page sits in the footer of Orders, Receiving and Stock; your choice is kept for you alone.

Tick rows to act on several at once: Hold, Release hold and Merge on Orders. Ticks stay when you turn the page, up to 500 orders. Changing the view, a filter or the sort clears them.
