Your own sending domain

Customer emails can leave from an address at your own domain instead of Floormode’s shared sender. You choose the address, add a few DNS records once, and Floormode switches the sender when your domain is verified.

Shipment confirmations and tracking updates show your address as the sender, such as bestellungen@yourshop.com. Replies go to your support address either way.

In Settings → Customer pages → Sender, type the From address for the store. Then choose Verify and confirm that Floormode may send the store’s order emails from that domain. Two stores can share one domain.

If the domain is your store’s own domain in Shopify, it needs no extra proof. Any other domain gets one verification record first.

The Sender card lists the records to add at your DNS provider: the verification record if one is needed, then the sending records. Copy each value exactly, then choose Check again. A DMARC record is recommended too.

The sending records go on their own names (send. and resend._domainkey.). Records the mailbox provider of your main domain uses stay untouched. Keep the records in place after verification.

Floormode checks when you choose Check again, and when the email service reports a change. Nothing is checked on a timer, so choose Check again after you add the records.

If the email service no longer has your domain, the Sender card says so. Choose Check again: Floormode sets the domain up again and lists its new sending records. Your verification record stays as it is.

Your emails go from Floormode’s address under your store’s name, with replies to your support address. They never stop while the domain waits. The same holds while sending from your own domain is not switched on for your shop yet: the Sender card says so.

Clear the From address in Customer pages, then remove the domain. Emails return to the shared sender at once.
