Labels and the label designer

Floormode prints bin labels, item labels and receiving labels as PDFs, or straight to a connected printer. The label designer sets the size, the barcode and what the label shows.

Bins: Inventory → Bins (all bins, or the ones a generator just created). Items: from the item’s drawer or a receipt. Receiving: one label per booked unit from the receipt.

Pick a sheet layout or a roll. The designer shows the placement; the PDF prints all positions even when the preview shows only the first ones.

Code 128 is the default and reads on every scanner. QR codes hold more; hide the readable text under a QR code when the value is long. A GS1-128 or GS1 Data Matrix label needs the item’s exact GTIN-14 first: see GS1 barcodes.

Print at 100 %: turn off “Fit to page” and browser headers. Test one label and scan its barcode before a batch.

Save the design to reuse it; your team sees the same designs. The default design is what the one-click prints use.

A connected printer has a profile with its paper and offsets. If labels print slightly off, correct the offset in the profile rather than in every design.

Floormode prints a label with the item’s own barcode; an item without one gets a Floormode barcode you can scan on the floor.
