Delivery dates

Some customers choose a delivery day at checkout, with a date picker app in your store (Buunto, Zapiet, EasyRoutes and others). Floormode can read that day and work out when the order has to be packed. Orders, the order page and Home then show the pack day instead of Shopify’s fulfil-by date.

Delivery dates are off until you set them up. Orders without a chosen day are not affected: they keep Shopify’s fulfil-by date.

  1. Open Settings → Fulfillment, the Delivery dates card.
  2. Under Read the date from, choose the order attribute your date picker writes the day into, for example Delivery Date. The list shows the attributes your recent orders carry; the line under it says how many of them carry the one you chose. If yours is not there, choose Another attribute… and type its name.
  3. Check the Date format. Automatic reads dates whose order is never in doubt, such as 2026-10-17 or 17 October 2026. A date like 03/04/2026 can be read either way, so choose day first or month first if your date picker writes dates like that.
  4. Check the Store time zone. It is filled in from your browser.
  5. Look at the preview. It shows how many of your recent orders it can read, with a few examples.
  6. Choose Save in the bar at the bottom.

After saving, Floormode reads the delivery date of every open order again; the line at the bottom of the card shows how far it has got. Closed orders are not changed.

Each warehouse has its own packing days: open the warehouse under Settings → Warehouses, then its Settings tab, the Packing days card.

  • Packing days before delivery: how many packing days before the delivery day an order is packed. The default is 1. Use 0 to pack on the delivery day itself.
  • Packing days of the week: the days this warehouse packs. The default is Monday to Friday.
  • Closed days: holidays and other days without packing.

Days off and closed days are skipped. With the defaults, an order for Tuesday is packed on Monday, and an order for Monday is packed on the Friday before. The day turns at midnight in the warehouse’s own time zone.

Turn on Picking waits for the pack day in the same card to hold such orders back from picking. An order with a delivery date is then ready to pick on its pack day, not before: the pick queue, Floor Mode’s Start picking and new batches leave it out until that day begins in the warehouse’s time zone. Its stock stays reserved for it the whole time. The switch is off until you turn it on, warehouse by warehouse.

  • On Orders, a waiting order says Packs and its pack day.
  • In Floor Mode, Start picking says how many orders wait and when the first one packs.
  • To pick one order early, open it and choose Pick now next to its delivery date. Undo makes it wait again. The order page says who let it through and when.
  • Orders: the Pack today view lists the open orders whose pack day is today or has passed, oldest first. The Pack day filter narrows any view: Overdue, Today, Next pack day, Later, No pack day or Unreadable date. Add the Delivery date column under Columns to see the customer’s day and the pack day in each row. The Due column shows the pack day for orders that have one.
  • The order page: under Ship to, the delivery day, the day it is packed and where.
  • Home: the due and late numbers count by pack day.

An order whose date cannot be read keeps Shopify’s fulfil-by date and is never held back. The order page says why, for example that the date could be day first or month first. Pack day → Unreadable date on Orders finds these orders. Changing the date format usually fixes them: after saving, Floormode reads the open orders again.

Choose Off under Read the date from and save. Orders go back to Shopify’s fulfil-by date. A saved view that filters by pack day stops filtering by it until delivery dates are on again.
