Go live
Going live is the last setup step for a warehouse: from then on Floormode keeps Shopify’s quantities for that location up to date. It is one click on the warehouse’s page; Review and go live on Home leads there.

What going live does
Section titled “What going live does”Floormode reads Shopify’s current quantities for the location, compares them with what is on your shelves, and, when they match, starts updating Shopify from every receipt, pick, count and adjustment. Until a warehouse is live, nothing you do in Floormode changes a Shopify number.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- The warehouse is linked to the Shopify location you pack from.
- Its opening stock is imported (Import into on the warehouse’s Stock tab). Items can wait in the unassigned bin; giving them their own bins is not required. If Shopify holds no stock at the location, the step reads No stock in Shopify and there is nothing to import.
- If Logistified is going to be connected, every receiving warehouse must be live first: the Logistified switch refuses otherwise.
Run Go live
Section titled “Run Go live”-
Open Settings → Warehouses and the warehouse, or choose Review and go live on Home.
-
Click Go live and confirm. Floormode checks Shopify’s quantities against the warehouse.
-
Read the result. The warehouse page says the warehouse is live when the numbers matched and Shopify is now updated from Floormode. A list of items that differ from Shopify means some items need a look first.
When items differ from Shopify
Section titled “When items differ from Shopify”The check lists each item whose Shopify quantity does not match the shelf, with both numbers. Fix the side that is wrong: count the bin in Floormode, or correct the quantity in Shopify. Then click Check again on the warehouse page. Going live never overwrites Shopify with a number nobody checked: either the numbers match, or you confirm your counts (below).
You counted during setup
Section titled “You counted during setup”Shopify does not hear about the counts you make in Floormode before the warehouse is live. After the opening import, give the stock its shelves, then count. When every difference comes from counts or adjustments made after the import finished, the check lists them as Shopify 5 → counted 7, and the button reads Set Shopify to your counts at your location.
Floormode cannot tell whether anything was sold or shipped outside Floormode between your count and now, so you decide. Confirm only if nothing was. Floormode then goes live and sends each count to Shopify. Shopify takes a count only while its on-hand number is still the one the check read, so nothing that changes in between is overwritten. Orders placed meanwhile stay reserved. A count Shopify refuses is not sent again: the item asks for a new count under Shopify synchronization on its stock page.
Your confirmation covers the whole list and the location, even when the confirm shows only part of a long list. If someone counts again, Shopify’s number changes, or the warehouse is linked to another location before you confirm, the check shows the new list and asks once more. Items marked with a count in a longer list wait until nothing else blocks.
Counts are not offered for:
- an item counted before the opening import finished, even when the count was approved later;
- an item with units still in the unassigned bin (give them a shelf first, then count);
- an item Shopify still expects on an open transfer or purchase order (receive or cancel it in Shopify first);
- an item Assemblified sets in Shopify.
Items Floormode can’t check yet
Section titled “Items Floormode can’t check yet”Some items are skipped by the opening import with a reason (a bundle whose stock sits on the bundle itself, an item Shopify does not track, an inventory item with inconsistent states). They are listed under Inventory → Stock → Item setup and recovery with a next step. Go live waits until they are fixed or excluded.
Locations Logistified passed to Floormode
Section titled “Locations Logistified passed to Floormode”When Logistified hands receiving for a location to Floormode, that location’s warehouse must be live before the handover takes effect. The Integrations card lists such warehouses with a Go live link.
